Solid Edge 2021 featured with Subdivision Modeling, AI UI, and Deviations Analysis

Siemens has announced that the company will be a partner with SAP for PLM. Siemens hosted an event for the virtual launch of Solid Edge 2021.

The latest version of Siemens CAD application is set to release in the late summers. the latest version includes lots of new features and improvements.

The new features are as follows:

1. Subdivision modeling capabilities

2. AI and UI

3. Deviation analysis for Reverse engineering

1. Subdivision Modeling

The new features of subdivision modeling will provide capabilities in Solid Edge 2021 to create organic features within a short period without the need for expert knowledge for next-generation design

The new feature is included directly in Solid Edge despite Add-on.

Solid Edge is now capable to create organic shapes without importing, exporting, and translating the data.

2. AI UI

Solid Edge 2021 is featured with a powerful AI-powered user interface.

this feature could be more annoying but it will get better with use.

3. Reverse Engineering (Deviation analysis)

This feature will allow a user to show the deviation between the original scan and the reversed engineered model in the form of the color spectrum.

4. 3DfindIT

Solid Edge 2021 is integrated with 3DfindIT.com CAD and BIM database. This feature will allow users to search millions of parts from CAD and BIM catalog for Solid Edge.
